TikTok will soon have a new family mode feature. This function will allow parents and guardians to monitor their child’s accounts. Today’s society is putting pressure on social media companies to do better in protecting our youth, whose days are consumed with online interaction.
According to Forbes, TikTok’s safety features include:
• Restricting feed content.
• Stopping direct messages.
• Limiting time spent on the app.
Parents can manage these features by linking their account to their child’s account. TikTok also introduced new in-app prompts that encourage users to take time off the app, extending the screen time management feature introduced last year.
