Giving is good for the soul (and your health)

Everyone knows giving back not only helps others but makes that person or business feel good, too. But did you know that it is also good for your health?
Studies have shown giving back and helping others can increase your life expectancy and improve health by:
• Lowering blood pressure and stress levels.
• Increasing self-esteem and happiness.
• Decreasing depression.
Giving back tends to release endorphins and creates what is known as a “helper’s high.” This holiday season, be thankful for your blessings and look to your community for ways to give back as a family or business where you can.
